Today I went with my friend, and pet photographer, Samantha for a photo shoot. We didn’t shoot any cute puppies, or beautiful brides. We went to shoot the final resting place of many who’ve served our country. Yes, I’m enjoying my three day weekend…and the BBQs that go along with it. I just didn’t want this holiday weekend to pass me by without reflecting on what this national holiday actually is about. So with that said…thank you to all who have served, and are currently serving our country. An even bigger thank you (though the words “thank you” just don’t seem to do justice to the gratitude they’re meant to express) to all who’ve given their lives while serving. Here are a handful of the photos that I came back with from my visit to Los Angeles National Cemetery. It’s phenomenal to see the sheer number of grave sites that makeup this cemetery, and incredibly heartwarming to see an American flag carefully placed on each and every one.
