We didn’t shoot any cute puppies, or beautiful brides. We went to shoot the final resting place of many who’ve served our country. Yes, I’m enjoying my three day weekend…and the BBQs that go along with it. I just didn’t want this holiday weekend to pass me by without reflecting on what this national holiday actually is about. So with that said…thank you to all who have served, and are currently serving our country. An even bigger thank you (though the words “thank you” just don’t seem to do justice to the gratitude they’re meant to express) to all who’ve given their lives while serving. Here are a handful of the photos that I came back with from my visit to Los Angeles National Cemetery. It’s phenomenal to see the sheer number of grave sites that makeup this cemetery, and incredibly heartwarming to see an American flag carefully placed on each and every one.

Whenever it’s at all possible, I try to do this. The practical reason I tell people is because I just QC’ed the album after it shipped from my album maker, and I’d rather not chance shipping it again. I would hate for it to get damaged! That’s all true, however, I also know how much I love seeing couples’ faces as they see their wedding album for the first time. I would really hate to ship it to them and miss out on this moment!

Kelley and Dan’s reaction definitely did not disappoint! I loved watching them oooh and ahhh over the quality and colors of their two-tone leather cover. It was unbelievably fulfilling for me to see them excitedly go through page after page raving about their images and reliving their beautiful wedding that took place at Middle Ranch! Why on earth would I want to ship an album if I didn’t have to?

First Light Exhibition at The WIne Cave in Montrose

I’ve been working hard at getting ready for my first Fine Art Photography Exhibition. It’s thanks to Scott and Donda of The Wine Cave, and you’re invited! There will be an opening on Friday, February 12th with an “Opening Part Deux” night Saturday, February 20th! I really hope you can join me for one or both nights! It should be a great evening with some great people, wine and food (thanks Trina)! …oh yeah, and some splendid fine art photography by yours truly!!!

It was a beautiful day, and a wonderful wedding!  I’d love to spend more time on getting even more pictures posted, but I’m leaving tomorrow for a wedding  at my alma mater in East Lansing, Michigan (GO SPARTANS)!  I didn’t want this post to wait ’til I get back, so here it is – wedding image preview and all!  Thanks Edith and Israel for being so great to work with, and for allowing us the time to capture these images!
